Kay Lyon

Dragon's Lair Gallery
For many years, home for Kay Lyon has been the Georges River in southern Sydney at Lugarno. This area contains Aboriginal middens along this waterway which contain shells dating back to 6000 BCE.
Kay has witnessed the demise of a once thriving Sydney rock oyster industry on this waterway. It is now permanently closed due to water pollution. This series of works on paper and photographs directly captures this location, reflecting on its thriving history and the state that it is now today.
