Magic of Christmas

18,000+ attendees.
Carss Bush Park, Carss Park.
4.30pm to 9.00pm.

A much-loved local tradition, this event has something for the whole family, including entertainment, food trucks, market stalls and fireworks all set against a backdrop of the beautiful Georges River. You might even get a glimpse of Santa.

Lunar New Year

50,000+ attendees.
Forest Road and Hurstville Plaza, Hurstville.
Forest Road Market Stalls - 12.00pm to 9.00pm.
Hurstville Plaza Stage Performances - 3.30pm - 9.00pm.

For over 20 years, Council has hosted one of the longest-standing Asian cultural celebrations. In 2025, we welcome the Year of the Snake! Festival-goers will enjoy bustling streets filled with food, stalls, entertainment and the iconic lion dance.

Approaching its fifth year, the annual breakfast showcases local and national female changemakers, highlighting the vital role women play in the fabric of our community.

Uncontained Arts Festival

Belgrave Street and Kogarah Town Square, Kogarah.

In 2025, Award nominated Uncontained Arts Festival is back and bigger than ever.

The festival, set along Belgrave Street, Kogarah, delivers three days filled with immersive art, dazzling light displays, captivating performances, and a delectable variety of food trucks to please your palate.
