Unattended shopping trolleys left in public areas are both an eyesore and can become a hazard for pedestrians and motorists.
Shopping trolleys should not be taken from shopping centres or businesses. Leaving a shopping trolley unattended, could result in fines of $660.00 for an individual or $1,320.00 for corporations.
In the first instance, please lodge a collection request with the Shopping Trolley owners who typically have 4 days to collect the trolley once notified. If you are not happy with their response or the trolley has not been collected, please submit a request to Council.
