A Section 10.7 (formerly Section 149) Planning Certificate provides you with all the information Council has on file about planning controls that affect a specific piece of land.
Section 10.7 (2) Planning Certificate
Information provided includes:
- Zoning of the property.
- State and local planning controls.
- Any property issues.
Combined Section 10.7 (2) and Section 10.7 (5) Certificate
The same information is provided as above, as well as additional advice on the land if the information is available such as:
- Adjacent to a Heritage Item or Heritage Conservation Area.
- State Heritage Item.
- Stormwater drain.
- Planning Agreements.
- Council studies, policies and plans.
If you would like to develop a property, you may also need to refer to State Environmental Planning Policies (SEPP) or Regional Environmental Plans (REP).

Time frames
The following processing time frames apply:
- Section 10.7 (2) Certificate - provided within 5 working days.
- Section 10.7 (2) and Section 10.7 (5) Certificates - provided within 10 working days.
If any information on the application is incorrect, the time frames will not be met until it is corrected by the applicant.
