A Local Environmental Plan (LEP) is a legal document. It controls land use and development in a local government area. LEP's include land use zones, building heights, heritage items and local conditions, such as landscaping.
The following LEPs currently apply.

The GRLEP 2021 came into effect on 8 October 2021. The Hurstville Local Environmental Plan 2012 and Kogarah Local Environmental Plan 2012 no longer apply.
Development applications lodged before 8 October 2021 will be assessed under the former Hurstville or Kogarah plans.
Renaming of Environment Zones
The NSW Government has renamed the Environment Zones.
This change is purely administrative and in name only. Land uses that were previously permitted or prohibited are unchanged.
As of 1 December 2021,The new names will be:

Employment Zones Reform
The Employment Zones Reform commenced within the GRLEP 2021 on 26 April 2023. From that date, any reference to a former zone will be deemed a reference to the new zone.
