Resident Development Information Session

The Development Advisory Team is hosting a free Resident Development Information Session.

The purpose of the session is to outline the range of services offered by the Development and Building Team and to explain the Development Application and Complying Development Application processes.

The session will be used as an opportunity to educate residents about various development related topics (such as tree removal, drainage, heritage), process at Georges River Council and the NSW Planning Portal, and as an opportunity to obtain feedback from customers.

Where is the Session?

The session will be held in the Dragon Room in the Georges River Council Civic Centre, corner of MacMahon and Dora Streets, Hurstville.

Business Connect: Navigating Council with Confidence

This event will give small businesses an opportunity to speak directly with Georges River Council Staff to navigate Council approvals and processes as well as learn about different resources and opportunities relevant for their business. 
Council staff from different teams will be available for informal conversations to help navigate topics including:

  • Planning approval pathways
  • Development applications
  • Land-use permissions
  • Licencing and legislation
  • Marketing and communications
  • Upcoming opportunities and resources

The event will run as a marketplace, where business operators can engage Council staff and other business services in a casual environment.

The next session will be held on Wednesday, 23 October 2024, between 2.00pm and 4.00pm.
