Cyanotype Workshop - Thursday Session (Council Led Event)

13/02/2025 - Hurstville Museum & Gallery

Be inspired by the Makers & Manufacturers exhibition and learn the traditional technique of cyanotype printing on paper and fabric to create your own unique artwork. This workshop will allow you to mix history and art in our Museum & Gallery.

The day will start with artist Marina Mavritsky explaining her artmaking process. Then, using the exhibition and surrounds as inspiration, participants will learn the art of traditional cyanotype printing using negatives and found objects. Participants are encouraged to bring in objects and images which can be used as further inspiration for this unique artmaking process.

This program is part of the Makers & Manufacturers exhibition which will run until 11 May 2025. For more information on the exhibition please visit the Makers & Manufacturers webpage.

Note: The Thursday 13 February and Saturday 15 February sessions are not complementary and content will be repeated, including participants who attended previous sessions with Marina Mavritsky.
