01/02/2025 - Hurstville Plaza

Georges River Council hosts Sydney Metro’s biggest Council-led Lunar New Year celebration, marking 2025, Year of the Snake, the 22nd year of the festival being celebrated in the area.

The Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year or Spring Festival, is the beginning of the year in the lunar calendar traditionally observed in many East Asian and Southeast Asian countries.
