The Last Picture Show (Council Led Exhibition)

The Last Picture Show tells the stories of the many cinemas, picture shows, and theatres that entertained the St George region during the 20th century, and the social and technological changes that transformed them.

Through historic photographs drawn from the Georges River Local Studies collection, this exhibition explores the history and growth of the suburban cinema industry from its earliest days to the 1980s.
