Georges River Council is asking for community feedback on plans to upgrade three existing playgrounds through its Your Say page.
The Hurstville Precinct Playspace Development project will see the upgrades at Woodville Park and Croot Park in Hurstville, and Empress Reserve in South Hurstville.
Council has engaged a consultant to undertake the detailed design of the three Hurstville Precinct playgrounds. This project looks to upgrade the existing play spaces, identifying and capitalising on opportunities to maximise play outcomes that better align to neighbourhood-level category facilities.
Council is seeking community feedback for three weeks on the preliminary concept designs, with this feedback guiding the progression towards detailed designs and future construction.
Georges River Mayor Sam Elmir said, “We are very excited to deliver these park upgrades to be more modern and inclusive facilities for a variety of ages and abilities.
“This is an important project as these very popular Hurstville CBD parks are heavily utilised by our local community and visitors.
“It’s fantastic to see Woodville Park is set to expand to cater for junior and senior use; your feedback is important to deliver projects aligned with what the residents would like and need.”
The deadline for feedback is 14 March 2024
