Online lodgement of Complying Development applications

The Department of Planning and Environment is developing a new online service for complying development certificate (CDC) applications which is being trialled Georges River Council.

Council's professional team of accredited building certifiers are available to assist with your application as well as approvals, inspections and advice. General enquiries and requests for assistance from our building certifiers can be organised by contacting our Service Centre.

Applications for Complying Development Certificates in the Georges River Council area can be lodged online through the NSW Planning Portal for the following residential development types:

  • New dwelling houses
  • Secondary dwellings (granny flats)
  • Attached development
  • Detached development
  • Alterations and additions to dwelling houses, secondary dwellings, attached development and detached development.

How to apply online

  1. Prepare all relevant plans and information for Complying Development Certificate lodgement following with Councils’ Complying Development Certificate lodgement checklist.
  2. Register for a Planning Portal account to start your application.
  3. Log in to complete the online application. You will need to submit a certificate of title, site plan, design plans, structural plans and all relevant documents required in Council's CDC Checklist.
