Georges River Council at its meeting on 25 October 2021 resolved to adopt the Georges River Council Local Infrastructure Contributions Plan 2021 (Section 7.11 and Section 7.12).
That Plan came into effect on Wednesday 1 December 2021 and has repealed the Georges River Council Section 94A Development Contributions Plan 2017. The S94A Plan applied to development applications and complying development certificates which were determined before this date.
The Section 94A Contributions Plan identified the public facilities and services that were to be provided by the contributions and the types of developments that were levied.
The contribution amounts levied are specified by the EP&A Regulation and in the Contributions Plan are as follows:
- If the proposed cost of carrying out the development is up to and including $100,000 – there is no levy.
- If the proposed cost of carrying out the development is between $100,001 and $200,000 - the levy is 0.5% of that cost.
- If the proposed cost of the development is more than $200,000 – the levy is 1% of that cost.
The Section 94A Contributions Plan provides procedures for how to determine the proposed cost of the development and provides the following reports that are to be submitted to Council with the development:
